ADRs End Mixed; Vedanta Rises

International stocks trading in New York closed mixed
Thursday.
Commodities company Vedanta Ltd. (VEDL) was among the companies
with ADRs that traded actively.
The BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts rose 0.2%
to 133.68. The European index increased 0.3% to 125.04 and the
Asian index improved 0.2% to 152.63. The Latin American index,
meanwhile, fell 1.1% to 232.72 and the emerging markets index edged
0.1% lower to 272.23.
ADRs of Vedanta climbed 5.9% to $15.54 on strong quarterly
results. The copper, aluminum and zinc mining company reported a
more than four-time jump in its net profit and has been focusing on
improvement in operational efficiency.
