BP PLC (BP.LN) has reshuffled some of its senior managers and announced the departure of another, an internal email seen by Dow Jones Newswires Thursday showed.

Group Chief of Staff Steve Westwell will leave the company at the end of 2011 after 23 years at BP. He will be replaced by Dev Sanyal, BP's Group Treasurer since 2007.

David Bucknall will assume the role vacated by Sanyal, reporting to Brian Gilvary, BP's Chief Financial Officer-designate. Gilvary's appointment as CFO was announced with the release of BP's third-quarter earnings Tuesday as incumbent Byron Grote takes up a new position as head of corporate business activities.

Bucknall has been Grote's executive assistant since May 2010.
