(b) On October 18, 2016, Marc C. Breslawsky notified the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of C.
R. Bard, Inc., (the “Company”) that he will retire as a Director effective October 31, 2016. Mr. Breslawsky retires from the Board after 20 years of distinguished service to the Company. His decision was not the result of any
disagreement with the Company.
