HONG KONG--Neil Kell, who resigned from Deutsche Bank, will join
Bank of America Merrill Lynch as chairman of international equity
capital markets, a person familiar with the situation said
Tuesday.
He will stay in Hong Kong for about a year for the newly created
position with the U.S. bank and will then move to London, the
person said.
Mr. Kell, who will report to global co-heads of ECM Craig Coben
and Mary Ann Deignan, will be responsible for strengthening and
developing relationships with clients in ECM business such as
initial public offerings and share placements in markets including
Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.
Mr. Kell recently resigned from Deutsche Bank, which moved him
to Hong Kong from London at the beginning of last year, as Asia ECM
head excluding Japan.
