Mexico's biggest airline company Grupo Aeromexico SAB (AEROMEX.MX) is close to purchasing some 70 mainly single-aisle aircraft, in what would be its biggest purchase to date, Bloomberg News reported on its website Monday, citing three people familiar with the talks. The aircraft under consideration are Airbus SAS's A320neo and some A350 wide-body jets, and Boeing Co.'s (BA) 737 Max and 787-9 Dreamliner, Bloomberg reported one of the people as saying. Boeing, which sent a sales team to Mexico to secure the order, has the upper hand, two of the people said, Bloomberg reported. Spokesmen for Airbus and Boeing declined to comment, it said.
