Boeing Co.'s (BA) third-quarter earnings rose 31% on a double-digit rise in profit at the defense segment, though total revenue didn't grow as much as expected. Shares rose 4% to $66.28 premarket as the defense and aerospace company raised its full-year earnings estimate.

Broadcom Corp.'s (BRCM) third-quarter earnings fell 21% as a series of one-time charges masked a better-than-expected core profit driven by broad-based revenue growth. Shares still fell 4.3% to $34.25 premarket as the chip maker issued a dim revenue forecast of $1.7 billion to $1.8 billion for the fourth quarter.

C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc.'s (CHRW) third-quarter earnings rose 11% on a matching increase in revenue, as the logistics company's key truck revenue had one of the strongest showings. Still, shares fell 7.7% to $69.15 premarket as revenue slightly missed analyst estimates.
