outages at U.S. refineries as reported by Dow Jones Newswires. The
information is compiled from both official and unofficial refining
sources and does not purport to be a comprehensive list.
Phillips 66 (PSX) on May 28 reported a process leak on a
hydrocracker unit at its Wood River Refinery in Roxana, Illinois.
The status of the unit's operations is unclear.
Valero Energy Corp. (VLO) on May 24 reported maintenance on soot
blowers at its McKee Refinery in Sunray, Texas, to state
environmental regulators. The work was expected to last through the
weekend and had no material impact to production, a company
spokesman said on May 28.
A leak was discovered in a process pipe at Exxon Mobil Corp.
(XOM) Baton Rouge, La., refinery, the company reported May 22.
Motiva Enterprises LLC said May 22 that it is conducting
scheduled maintenance at its Norco Manufacturing Complex in Norco,
La. The company declined to say which units were affected. A notice
on a parish website said noise and steam related to the work would
continue for two days.
Exxon Mobil on May 22 reported that a safety valve relieved
during a hydrogen compressor shutdown at its Baytown, Texas,
facility Tuesday, resulting in flaring.
Western Refining Inc. (WNR) on May 22 said the key
gasoline-producing fluid catalytic cracking unit at its refinery in
El Paso, Texas, had resumed normal operations following a recent
restart. The unit was taken out of service May 19, traders doing
business in the region said.
Citgo Petroleum Corp. said May 20 that a compressor at its
Lemont, Ill., refinery has been shut for planned repairs.
Phillips 66 said May 20 that it had completed restarting its
Sweeny refinery in Old Ocean, Texas.
