ITNET continues to support Cadbury Schweppes with #7.4 million, two-year
contract extension
Building on the 13% cost reduction delivered by ITNET over the past 12 months
Cadbury Schweppes has extended its contract with leading IT, business consulting
and business process outsourcing company, ITNET, for a further two years. The
#7.4 million deal, for desktop and data centre hosting services, will provide
Cadbury with some significant costs savings and ensure a period of stability
while it goes through major system change in the period 2004 - 2006.
ITNET will continue to host and support Cadbury's UNIX and NT platforms, provide
print services and provide disaster recovery for a number of hardware systems
until the end of 2006. Also, as part of a full service improvement programme,
ITNET will deliver Cadbury a 10% saving in the current cost of supporting the
midrange environment.
ITNET will also deliver a 5% cost reduction to the mainframe and disaster
recovery services it provides for Cadbury's legacy systems. These services and
mainframe applications support will run until the middle of 2005 when all
remaining mainframe legacy systems are due to have been replaced by SAP.
Finally, the deal also extends ITNET's desktop support services for another two
years. ITNET has already delivered Cadbury a 13% cost reduction in this area
over the past 12-months.
John Murphy, IT Director, EMEA at Cadbury Schweppes, commented:
"As an ex-Cadbury company we have a strong on-going relationship with ITNET and
have committed to stay with them for a further two years as they have a proven
track record in delivering cost effective services and support to our business.
Jan Woolf, managing director ITNET commercial division, comments:
"We are delighted that Cadbury Schweppes have chosen to extend their contract
with us. As a very long-term customer, they are very important to us and we
look forward to working closely with them to help them achieve all their
strategic IT objectives going forward."
