j2 Global Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ:JCOM), the provider of outsourced, value-added messaging and communications services, today announced that its fax-to-email eFax(R) services are now locally available in several cities in Poland, marking j2 Global's entrance into Eastern Europe.
Today's announcement also marks another milestone for j2 Global: 88 percent of the European Union population can now obtain an eFax number within their country and/or city.
Based on the ongoing success of eFax throughout several European countries, j2 Global has chosen to expand its local services to new geographic regions. To that end, j2 Global has established a local presence in major cities in Poland, including Warsaw, Lodz, Krakow, Poznan, Gdansk and Katowice.
Furthermore, eFax has been introduced to nine cities in Austria, including Vienna, Salzburg, Graz, Linz, Innsbruck, Klagenfurt, Bregenz, St.Polten and Eisenstadt.
In addition to the introduction of eFax in Poland and Austria, j2 Global announced further expansion through the European Union. Subscribers can now access local eFax services in 10 additional cities in Spain, including Mallorca, Las Palmas, Vigo, A Coruna, SC Tenerife, Vitoria, Oviedo, Santander, San Sebastian and Tarragona, bringing the total number of Spanish cities with an eFax presence to 19. Cities in Spain that previously had access to eFax include Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid, Sevilla, Zaragoza, Malaga, Bilbao, Valladolid, and Alicante.
