has completed a transaction to acquire a 100% stake of OptAim
Technology ("OptAim") to further
strengthen its cross-platform marketing capabilities in
China. The acquisition was settled
by way of shares and cash.
OptAim, headquartered in Beijing, owns and operates one of the leading
mobile advertising platforms in China. Focusing on performance-based
advertising and programmatic marketing, OptAim is connected with
the premium web publishers in China including Tencent, Taobao, Sohu and Toutiao, and boasts
access to more than 550 million mobile users across the country. In
January 2015, OptAim received
approximately US$10 million in a
Series A financing from Bertelsmann Asia Investments. Currently its
mobile programmatic platform has over 500 advertisers.

On the country's growth of internet users, the latest report
from China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) shows that
the number of people using the internet rose to 668 million by the
end of June 2015, up 18.94 million
compared with the end of 2014. Smartphones have proven themselves
to be the ultimate gateway for internet users in China as 88.9 percent of them choose to
connect to the internet via mobile devices.
