County licensed Logos.NET Financial Management and Human Resources
and Payroll Management, along with several additional applications
that provide county officials with the ability to easily and
efficiently conduct their daily business using the familiar
Microsoft desktop environment. County officials, representing each
department, spent nine months researching the functionality
required in a new system and vendor. After an extensive request for
proposal, various software demonstrations and customer reference
checks, the County chose New World. "New World's .Net technology
was one of the key reasons we chose the Company," said Assistant
County Manager Jesse Smith, Garfield County, Colo. "This is a major
purchase for any County, and we do not want to go through this
again in the next few years due to out of date technology. With New
World's Logos.NET solution, we feel confident that we will have
this software for many years." For the first time, the County will
have a fully integrated system to allow seamless communication
between departments. "New World's integrated Logos.NET will reduce
redundant data entry and manual labor, as well as increase data
accuracy," said Smith. "Currently, accounts payables are entered
into the County's system and then re-entered into the State's human
services system under a different chart of accounts, but New
World's software will eliminate this step so we will only have to
enter payables once. Using Logos.NET, our data will be
automatically entered into the County's chart of accounts. "This
one step process will also affect our payroll process, which is
currently handled through ADP and then the data is entered into the
County's system via extensive journal entries," said Smith. "We
will save a lot of time." To ensure integration and to provide
superior customer support, New World develops its entire suite
in-house. As a Microsoft Certified Partner, New World has committed
the development resources required to build and deploy robust
solutions designed for all sizes of government agencies. Logos.NET
was developed using proven Microsoft .Net technology, industry
standard Windows 2000 Server and SQL Server 2000 database. From
customizable screens to full suite integration, it will provide
government officials fast and easy access to information. "We are
energized about implementing New World's Logos.NET," said Smith.
"From streamlining processes to automating tasks, this
browser-based solution is going enhance internal productivity and
services to our constituents." Garfield County provides services to
approximately 48,000 citizens and supports a workforce of 400. New
World and the County will begin implementation immediately. New
