ComForcare Senior Services(R), A Place For Mom Develop Joint Referral System

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich., March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- ComForcare, the leading provider of non-medical in-home care to senior citizens and physically challenged individuals, and A Place For Mom Inc., the country's largest eldercare referral service, have formed a partnership designed to expand the breadth of community resources available to both organizations' customers.

The agreement will result in ComForcare's pioneering in-home eldercare services being made available to A Place For Mom's clients nationwide. Similarly, clients, families, and colleagues receiving home care services from ComForcare will be able to access extensive eldercare resources from the trained, locally-based family advisors at A Place For Mom.

The agreement between the two firms is expected to provide ComForcare with access to a sizeable number of underserved metropolitan markets nationwide, abetting its aggressive coast-to-coast expansion program. The agreement also broadens both companies' marketing and outreach efforts, providing A Place For Mom with opportunities for their families needing home care, while ComForcare franchisees gain a valuable referral source for new clients -- as well as a partner who can assist clients whose needs cannot be met with home care.

"Through this alliance, ComForcare's trained experts in the caregiving field have the ability to enhance the range of qualified community resources available to clients and families, providing customers with the advantage of both services in a single, seamless system," stated Blake Martin, Director of Franchise Development, ComForcare Senior Services.

"A Place for mom is excited about the new relationship with ComForcare. It allows us to offer our families a new resource to meet the needs of seniors who want to maintain their independence at home," said Pamala Temple, President, A Place For Mom.

Established in 1996, the Bloomfield Hills, Michigan-based ComForcare has rapidly grown to include 29 offices in 16 states. The firm provides assistance with activities of daily living to homebound individuals, such as bathing, transportation to medical appointments, medication reminders, errand running, and meal preparation to thousands of clients nationwide.

A Place for Mom Inc. is the nation's largest eldercare referral network serving families who are searching for care and housing options for elderly loved ones. These options include assisted living, Alzheimer's care, nursing homes, respite care, retirement communities, adult family homes, and home care. A Place for Mom Inc. has over 7,000 long-term care providers participating in its referral network.
