Appointment of Group Finance Director
Further to the announcement of preliminary results on 26 May 2005 in which the
Board of Strathdon Investments Plc ("Strathdon") announced the appointment of
Michael Roller as Group Finance Director and Company Secretary, the Company is
pleased to make this further announcement providing further information on
Michael's appointment.
Michael Roy David Roller (39) joined Strathdon in January 2005 as Finance
Director of the Company's operating subsidiaries and has today been appointed to
the Strathdon Board.
Michael qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in 1989 and held various
senior finance roles within Johnson Matthey plc, the speciality chemicals
company, between 1993 and 1998. He has since held Group Finance Director
positions in a number of publicly quoted companies, including IDS Group plc and
Money Controls plc (formerly Quadramatic plc). He is a graduate of Merton
College, Oxford with an MA in History.
Commenting on his appointment, Andrew Firth, Chairman of Strathdon, said:
"I am delighted to announce today the appointment of Michael Roller as Finance
Director and Company Secretary of Strathdon. Michael joined Strathdon in January
2005 as Finance Director of the Company's operating subsidiaries and has quickly
established himself as a key member of the executive team. He brings a wealth of
previous finance and board level experience and will significantly strengthen
the Board."
