New 'Price Track' Lets Buyers Find Motivated Sellers and Gives Sellers Extra Visibility
EMERYVILLE, Calif., Feb. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ZipRealty (NASDAQ:ZIPR), a national full-service residential real estate brokerage, has introduced several new features on its popular Web site intended to enable buyers to search for and track price reductions on listed homes and to give sellers the chance to get more interest from buyers through additional visibility.
Called "Price Track," the new feature displays a listed home's complete price history, including the amount and date of each price reduction. If there are multiple price reductions, users will be able to see each time the price was dropped. Buyers can also see the number of days each house has been on the market in most regions.
"With 77 percent of prospective home buyers and sellers starting their search online, we continue to offer features that make navigating home listings easier and more efficient than ever before," said Eric Danziger, ZipRealty's CEO. "The 'Price Track' feature is great for both buyers and sellers. We hope that this tool will make it easier for buyers to find motivated sellers and for people listing their home to get more interest from buyers through additional visibility." ZipRealty's "Price Track" search capability is just one of several new features and tools the Company has added to its newly redesigned Web site, which are unique to other real estate brokerages. Additional enhancements include: -- View Similar Homes
The "View Similar Homes" feature, much like online retail Web sites
that recommend similar products to the current product being viewed,
offers users the option to see homes with similar criteria that were
previously viewed by other home buyers. From the home details page of
each listing, users can click on "Clients who viewed this home also
viewed" and up to three homes will be displayed. -- Enhanced Interactive Map Search
ZipRealty has improved the functionality of its interactive map home
search. Now, not only can users draw a box on the map to indicate where
they would like to search, but they can also see pop-up descriptions
that allow them to view home details directly on the map. To use this
new functionality, visit the "Interactive Map" tab on the "My
ZipRealty" page. -- Search for a Real Estate Agent by Languages Spoken
To make home searches even more productive, ZipRealty now enables users
to search for local real estate agents by the language the agent
speaks. To locate an agent who speaks a language other than English,
visit the "Find an Agent" tab on the ZipRealty homepage and use the
"Search by Language" search box.
