Yen Slips From Recent Strength Against Major Rivals

The Japanese currency showed weakness from early morning session's upward trading against major rivals in New York mid-day deals on Friday.

As of now, the yen is trading near 82.10 against the Swiss franc, 98.58 versus the euro, 124.41 against the British pound, 63.87 versus the NZ dollar and 81.93 against the Australian dollar from recent multi-day highs of 81.62, 98.00, 124.16, 63.51 and 81.52, respectively.

Against its US and Canadian counterparts, the yen also edged down from recent strength. The Japanese currency is currently worth 78.64 against the greenback and 79.31 versus the loonie from recent highs of 78.47 and 78.94, respectively.
