XOJET today announced the appointment of Eilif Serck-Hanssen to the
position of chief financial officer and president of international
operations and expansion.
“Eilif is a highly respected strategic and
financial executive with strong airline experience and a deep
understanding of our business. We are thrilled that he has joined the
XOJET team,” said Paul Touw, CEO, XOJET. “Eilif
will be a significant asset as we continue on our path to becoming a
billion dollar company.”
Prior to joining XOJET, Serck-Hanssen served as executive vice president
and chief financial officer for Eos Airlines, Inc., the first airline
dedicated exclusively to premium long-haul business travel, operating
between major business centers of the US, UK and the Middle East. At
Eos, Serck-Hanssen was instrumental in securing the funding required to
build out the airline, as well as directing fleet acquisition for growth.
Prior to Eos, Serck-Hanssen was US Airways’
senior vice president and treasurer with responsibility for the
restructuring that culminated in the merger with America West.
Previously, as assistant treasurer and head of the financial planning
function at Northwest Airlines, he led multi-billion dollar financings
and enforced strong financial controls that delivered industry leading
unit cost performance. Before joining Northwest Airlines, Eilif served
as chief financial officer for one of PepsiCo’s
international business units in Asia.
“XOJET’s innovative
approach to private aviation has driven its rapid revenue growth,
customer adoption and business expansion, which is particularly notable
for a new aviation industry entrant,” said
Serck-Hanssen. “I look forward to working
with the management team and investors to build on this solid
foundation, and seize the tremendous global market opportunities ahead.”
