Samuel Armacanqui, Ph.D. Dr. Armacanqui brings 25 years of field experience in every facet of the Oil, Gas and Mining industries to the management team of WOGI. Dr. Armacanqui's official start date will be effective August 01, 2015, in order for him to complete his obligations to his existing employer and for WOGI ramp up operations in new markets. The term of the Agreement is for 15 years.

About Dr. Armacanqui:

Dr. J. Samuel Armacanqui Tipaci is a Petroleum Engineer with a PhD in Reservoir Engineering both from the Mining Academy Freiberg, Germany. He has Postdoctoral Studies in Project & Business Management from the Clausthal University (1990). After graduation he worked for Major Service Companies (Schlumberger & Reda) and Oil Operators (JV Conoco-PDVSA, PDO-Shell Oman and RWE Dea North Africa). Besides his Reservoir Engineering background he has over 20 years of experience in Oil Production Engineering both at desk and field level, Production Optimization, Field Operations, Well Completion including Artificial Lift, Rig-less Interventions, EOR and IOR Methods, Energy Efficiency, Introduction of New Technology and Innovations and Advanced Tendering Techniques and Contract Management (Pre and Post Award). He has worked in different oil field environments (light to extra Heavy Oil, low inflow, gassy, shallow and depth wells). He worked in South America -10 years in Venezuela, Peru & Argentina and is since 2001 in the Middle East with Petroleum Development Oman where he was Head of the Team in charge of the technical, operational and contractual management and managing Major Contracts for Provision of ESP Systems (Electrical Submersible Pumps). In his current tenure, since 2010 and until his move to WOGI, Dr. Armacanqui is the General Development Manager of RWE Dea North Africa/SUCO a JV Company with EGPC-Egyptian Gas and Petroleum Company, where he has been instrumental to sustain the Oil Production peak of three mature off-shore fields in the Red Sea, Gulf of Suez.
