LONDON--Wolfson Microelectronics PLC (WLF.LN), a designer and developer of semiconductors and high definition audio systems for the consumer electronics market, said Tuesday announced that its low power HD Audio Hub, the WM1811, has been selected by Samsung for inclusion in its new smartphone, the GALAXY S III.

MAIN FACTS:

-The WM1811 provides crystal-clear voice call quality and enriched audio playback for music and video while minimising power consumption.

-Shares closed Monday at 190 pence valuing the company at GBP221 million.
