MANKATO, Minn., Oct. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Winland Electronics, Inc. (AMEX:WEX), a leading designer and manufacturer of custom electronic control products and systems, today announced that Jon K. Paradis, most recently of Actcom Security Solutions, a Diebold Company, has been named Director of Product and Market Development for Winland's Proprietary Products. Mr. Paradis brings more than 18 years of progressive experience in sales and market development, product development and general management with a number of technology companies.
Mr. Paradis joins Winland from Actcom, a $13 million division of Diebold, a multi-billion security company. At Actcom, Mr. Paradis had profit and loss responsibility and prior to Actcom's acquisition by Diebold, Mr. Paradis served as Actcom's Chief Operating Officer overseeing operations, product development and product-to-market efficiencies. Previously, as Actcom's Vice President of Sales and Marketing, he played an instrumental role in transitioning the organization from a security re-seller to an IT security integration company, increasing sales by more than 41%. Before joining Actcom, he served as Vice President, North American Channel Sales, for Fargo Electronics where he was responsible for driving $40 million in sales and managing a team of 10 sales representatives. At this position, he increased North American revenue through channel partners by 15% and developed and implemented a new U.S. sales strategy that has led to 18% growth. Previously, he was Director, Business Development for Concur Technologies.
