MCLEAN, Va., Jan. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- WidePoint
Corporation (NYSE Mkt: WYY), a leading provider of secured,
cloud-based, enterprise-wide solutions and services in mobile
communications management and identity management solutions,
announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, iSYS LLC (iSYS),
has been awarded contracts by the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention (CDC) and by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
to provide Wireless Managed Services, including Telecom Expense
Management (TEM). The FCC contract has a one-year period. The CDC
contract has a one base-year period with four one-year option
periods, with a total contract value of approximately $1.8 million.
iSYS will provide the agencies with wireless management
solutions for all of their mobile devices and services, delivering
complete outsourcing and consolidation across multiple services and
providers for mobile device ordering, service renewals, and
services changes. The solution will encompass: ordering,
procurement, asset and inventory management, rate plan and contract
optimization, invoice management and contract compliance services,
dispute recovery, help desk, and device recycling services. iSYS
wireless management solutions are part of WidePoint's complete
Managed Mobility Services (MMS) offering, recently recognized by
Gartner Inc. with its inclusion of WidePoint in Gartner's first
Magic Quadrant for Managed Mobility Services.
The FCC contract was awarded through the GSA IT Schedule 70
(GS-35F-0232N) Federal Supply Source (FSS) contract. iSYS also
currently delivers TEM solutions through GSA IT Schedule 70 to the
Transportation Security Administration, National Science
Foundation, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and the National
Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
CDC has been a customer of iSYS TEM services since May 2006. In 2010, GSA recognized CDC with an
Award for Cost Effectiveness, acknowledging the CDC TEM Program
Team for excellence and cost-saving.
