LONDON--Whitbread PLC (WTB.LN), the restaurant and leisure
group, Friday said Alison Brittain has been appointed as its next
chief executive to succeed Andy Harrison, who is retiring at the
end of February 2016.
Ms. Brittain will join the company on Jan. 4 next year, the
company said in a statement. Mr. Brittain, aged 50, is currently
group director of the retail division at Lloyds Banking Group PLC
(LLOY.LN).
Shares closed Thursday at 5,260 pence, valuing the company at
GBP9.56 billion ($15 billion).
