Whirlpool Corporation (NYSE: WHR) announced today that nine of the
Whirlpool brand's cooking appliances are among the industry's first
certified under the Association for Home Appliance Manufacturers
(AHAM) Sustainability Standard for Cooking Products. Seven
model ranges and two built-in ovens received certification of the
standard which was developed by an AHAM task force focused on
developing new efficiency standards for 2015. The task force
included Whirlpool Corporation among industry experts along with UL
Environment, and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA)
Group.
