LONDON (Thomson Financial) - West China Cement Ltd. said it has been
operating at its full expanded capacity of 3.5 million tonnes per year since the
beginning of March and that production was not affected by the earthquake on May
12.
The producer and distributor of cement based in the western Chinese province
of Shaanxi said it is making substantial progress in making up the backlog in
production and sales caused by heavy snow, which disrupted large parts of the
country around Chinese New Year.
