Webzen Announces Launch of Open Beta Service in the
Philippines
SEOUL, Korea, August 17 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Webzen Inc. (NASDAQ:WZEN) announced today (August 18 Korean local time) that the open beta
service of its flagship online game "MU" will commence at 9PM local time in the
Philippines. MU will be serviced through Mobius Online Games Inc., Webzen's
license partner in the Philippines.
Webzen completed the transfer of over 100,000 user accounts from the Global
Server to the Philippines User Database on August 12. By registering on the
official MU Philippines website (http://www.muonline.ph/), existing users from
the Philippines can access their original accounts and continue play with
characters created on the Global Server.
Mobius Online Games is a recognized game publisher in the Philippines,
well-known for its innovative customer service tools. Co-founder David Foote is
a developer with extensive experience in working with leading US game
developers, and he has over ten years of experience in managing a software
development company.
