MUMBAI (Thomson Financial) - Standard & Poor's Ratings Services signalled it
may upgrade Warnaco Group Inc., saying the apparel company's first-quarter
earnings indicated a continuation of positive operating momentum for the past
several fiscal quarters.
The agency placed Warnaco's 'BB' corporate credit rating on creditwatch with
positive implications.
For the first quarter, revenues rose 21 percent over the prior-year period,
as a result of gains in all of the company's business segments, especially in
its worldwide Calvin Klein international division.
