VERSAR, Inc. (AMEX:VSR) announced today that the Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP) Health Effects Division (HED) of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded Versar a five (5) year contract to provide technical support in the registration of pesticides and herbicides. The approximate value of this contract is $7M. This contract is one of five major EPA contracts currently managed by Versar's Exposure and Risk Assessment Division.
Under this contract, Versar will review registrant-submitted exposures studies, support the development of occupational and residential exposure and risk evaluations, and estimate exposure and risk due to pesticide application.
