NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - VeraSun Energy Corp. Wednesday said it would
delay the startup of an ethanol production facility because of market
conditions.
The company previously delayed the start up of two other plants and said
that because of current volatility. All three plants are 110 million-gallon per
year ethanol production facilities.
Construction on the plant, located in Hankinson, N.D., will be completed by
the end of June.
Shares of VeraSun closed Tuesday at $3.98. The stock is down 74% since the
start of the year.
