NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - Velocity Express Corp. Tuesday reported a
third-quarter net loss of $8.8 million, or $3.78 a share, and a revenue drop to
$82.2 million.
In the year-ago period, the Westport, Conn.-based shipping company posted a
loss of $11 million, or $7.32 a share, on revenue of $98.2 million.
Shares of Velocity Express closed Monday at 76 cents. The stock is down 93%
over the past 52 weeks.
