Valeria Strappa has been named Chief Administrative Officer for Chase Merchant Services, the division of JPMorgan Chase & Co. that provides merchant services to thousands of organizations from small businesses to global enterprises.

Strappa is a veteran financial services executive who joins Chase from Citi Latin America, where she was the Client Management and Strategy Head for the Institutional Clients Group. She brings a broad set of experiences to Chase, including retail and mortgage businesses management, consulting, strategy, lean manufacturing, operations, transformation and change management. Strappa started her career at McKinsey in 2001, were she specialized in marketing, lean manufacturing and strategic sourcing in several industries. Her professional tenure also includes three years at GE Capital.

Strappa was a professional tennis player for more than a decade and has completed several Ironman competitions. She earned her degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey and her Global Executive MBA at Fuqua at Duke University. Strappa will be based in Dallas, where Merchant Services is headquartered.
