NEW YORK, July 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Thomson Reuters issues the following statement as it relates to upgrades and changes to the Reuters Messaging service.
The contract with FaceTime has been terminated with no effect on clients or their regulatory compliance. FaceTime was a vendor that provided a component of our messaging compliance service. That component has been replaced in-house and in conjunction with an ongoing Thomson Reuters technology partner. Reuters Messaging will continue to offer a hosted compliance service that securely logs and maintains all types of Reuters Messaging traffic including instant messages and chat room conversations to help our customers meet regulatory requirements while mitigating business and legal risks with long-term archiving. To date, customer migration has been completed and was at all times compliant with any regulatory guidelines. The enhancements to the service and back-end technology changes have been seamless and the only change has been that between Thomson Reuters and a former vendor.
