CHICAGO, June 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- UAL Corporation (NASDAQ:UAUA), the holding company whose primary subsidiary is United Airlines, today announced that Marc Ugol has been named senior vice president of Human Resources. In this role, Ugol will provide strategic leadership to United's worldwide human resources functions, including talent strategy, personnel policies and issues, benefits and compensation.

Ugol joins United from Constellation Energy where he served as senior vice president of Human Resources and had overall responsibility for the company's human resources division, overseeing all compensation and benefits, staffing, labor relations and organizational effectiveness.
Prior to Constellation Energy, Ugol held strategic human resources leadership positions in the high-tech industry from 1994 through 2002 when it experienced rapid changes. His experience includes companies such as Tellabs, Platinum Technology International and System Software Associates. From 1980-1994, Ugol served in various human resources roles at Amoco Corporation.
Ugol will assume his role on June 16 and will report to McDonald.
