NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - Union Pacific Thursday reported
second-quarter net income of $531 million, or $1.02 a share, on revenue of $4.57
billion.
The mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Reuters was for earnings of
92 cents a share on revenue of $4.51 billion.
In the year-ago period, the company reported net income of $446 million, or
82 cents a share, on revenue of $4.05 billion.
Shares of Union Pacific closed Wednesday at $77.33.
