BOWLING GREEN, Va., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Board of Directors of Union Bankshares Corporation (NASDAQ:UBSH) has declared a quarterly dividend of $.175 per share. This dividend is the second dividend declared since the Company's recent 3-for-2 stock split which was effective October 2, 2006 and, accordingly, comparative information in this press release is shown on a split-adjusted basis. This dividend represents a 19.3% increase from the $.1467 per share quarterly dividend paid on February 28, 2006 and a 2.9% increase from the $.17 per share quarterly dividend paid on November 30, 2006. The dividend is payable on February 28, 2007 to shareholders of record as of February 16, 2007.
