LONDON (Thomson Financial) - UTEK Corp said it has completed a technology
transfer in a stock-for-stock transaction with Rim Semiconductor Co, a company
that develops technology for telecommunications service providers.
The intellectual property company said the technology transferred includes a
worldwide licence and a research programme for a unique signal processing
technology for copper line based applications, which was jointly developed at
the University of Queensland and The University of Sydney.
The company said Rim Semiconductor issued 150 mln unregistered shares in
exchange for the shares of Multi-Carrier Communications, which is established by
UTEK specifically for this transaction.
