DOW JONES NEWSWIRES
The following table lists unplanned and planned production outages at U.S. refineries as reported by Dow Jones Newswires. The information is compiled from both official and unofficial refining sources and doesn't purport to be a comprehensive list.
Husky Energy Inc. (HSE.T) is in the process of restarting its refinery in Lima, Ohio, the state environmental protection agency said Friday.
BP PLC (BP) reported Friday that its Texas City, Texas, refinery experienced flaring at its ultracracker, according to a filing with state environmental regulators.
The cause of the emissions event, which lasted for about one hour Friday afternoon, "is still unknown and under investigation," the filing stated. The company couldn't be immediately reached for comment.
Valero Energy Corp. (VLO) announced Friday that it is shutting down its Delaware City, Del., refinery permanently due to poor economics. On Thursday, the company's Texas City, TX, plant reported flaring due to a snag at boilers in complex 4 and restarted one of three modules that were shut earlier in the week for repairs.
