(AMEX:UQM), a developer of alternative energy technologies, announced today that it has appointed Dale Stamwitz to the newly created position of Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Mr. Stamwitz will report to Vice President of Operations, Ronald Burton.

Dale's extensive manufacturing engineering knowledge and experience with the setup and optimization of motor manufacturing operations will be a tremendous asset as we expand our motor manufacturing operations in the coming months and years." Mr. Stamwitz was employed by General Electric at their manufacturing operations in Evandale, Ohio, Burlington, Vermont, Schenectady, New York, Owensboro, Kentucky, and Fort Wayne, Indiana since 1968 and is Six Sigma trained and Green Belt Certified and a graduate of the General Electric Manufacturing Management Program. Mr. Stamwitz holds a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington.
