LONDON -(Dow Jones)- Three liquefied natural gas ships are due to arrive at Milford Haven's two gas terminals in the U.K. before the end of November, the port authority said on its Web Site Thursday.
Qatari LNG ship Bu Samra will arrive from Ras Laffan in Qatar at South Hook terminal's number one berth at 1500 GMT Thursday, while two more of the giant LNG transporters are due to arrive in Milford Haven later on in November, it said.
The British Ruby will arrive at Dragon LNG terminal's number one berth from Point Fortin at 1200 GMT, Nov. 7, and the Lijmiliya will arrive at South Hook's number one berth from Ras Laffan at 0600 GMT, Nov. 10.
These three vessels are the latest in a series of LNG cargo arrivals in the U.K. in the last six months, which has significantly increased supply of gas into Europe from the Middle East depressing U.K. prices.
Dragon LNG and South Hook LNG terminals, both in South Wales were both fully commissioned in 2009, and between them have a capacity to supply up to 25% of the U.K.'s gas requirements. The Isle of Grain, the U.K.'s oldest LNG import terminal, can import 9.8 million metric tons of LNG a year.
