LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Renova Energy plunged 42 percent -- or 3-1/2
pence to 4-3/4 -- after the ethanol production, distribution and marketing
company said it is in ongoing discussions with its lenders to restructure the
existing borrowings.
The company expects the total project cost of combined ethanol and power
plant at Heyburn, Idaho, which has been on hold since December 2007, is now
estimated to be $60.1 million.
Again on the downside, EXC slid 0.05 to 0.10l following the textile and
leather group's decision to close one of its trading subsidiaries, David Conrad
(International), with immediate effect. The costs of closure are expected to be
about 400,000 pounds.
Opsec Security Group dropped 4-1/2 to 36-1/2 as the supplier of
anti-counterfeiting technologies and services warned it expects
full-year results to be marginally below market expectations.
Meanwhile, the company has bought Light Impressions International for 2
million pounds cash and a two-year cash earn-out of 4.5 million pounds.
The transaction is expected to be earnings-enhancing immediately.
