LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Alizyme, hard-hit Thursday on disappointing
trial results, rebounded 0.74 of a penny to 8.50 pence as traders took the view
that there are more important drugs in the company's portfolio, including
obesity drug Cetilistat.
Acquisition news provided a spur for Biocompatibles, 3-1/4 pence firmer at
143 pence. The medical tech firm has bought the business and assets of
BrachySciences Inc. and its affiliated companies for up to $21.6 million. The
deal results in 2008 revenue guidance increasing to between 15 million and 17
million pounds.
