LONDON (Thomson Financial) - UBS AG is preparing for a multi-billion franc
rights issue just weeks after securing a 13 bln sfr capital injection from
sovereign wealth funds, the UK's Daily Telegraph newspaper reported.
The paper quoted one London-based equity market banker as saying UBS was
likely to announce a rights issue within the next two weeks, and that the issue
could be as large as 10 pct of the Swiss bank's 58 bln sfr market value.
UBS declined to comment, the Telegraph added.
