The U.S. dollar that erased its early gains against other major major currencies edged down further in European morning deals on Monday.

The greenback is now trading at 78.67 against the yen and 1.5828 against the pound, compared to previous session's 5-day high of 78.85 and 1.5800, respectively.

The dollar that advanced to 0.9618 against the franc and 1.2491 against the euro earlier is now worth 0.9585 and 1.2535, respectively.
