The U.S. dollar strengthened against the other major currencies in the European session on Monday.

The U.S. dollar rose to a 4-day high of 1.4910 against the pound, from an early low of 1.4983.

Against the euro and the Swiss franc, the greenback appreciated to 1.0733 and 0.9572 from early lows of 1.0819 and 0.9499, respectively.

Moving away from an early near 4-week low of 118.52 against the yen, the greenback edged up to 118.90.

Against the Australia, the New Zealand and the Canadian dollars, the greenback edged up to 0.7779, 0.7687 and 1.2209 from early lows of 0.7825, 0.7723 and 1.2179, respectively.

If the greenback extends its uptrend, it is likely to find resistance around 1.45 against the pound, 1.04 against the euro, 0.99 against the Swiss franc, 120.50 against the yen, 0.75 against the aussie, 0.73 against the kiwi and 1.26 against the loonie.
