LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Tullow Oil Plc. said it completed a positive
second reservoir flow test at Mahogany-2 appraisal well offshore Ghana and said
the Jubilee field development work was "firmly" on schedule.
Chief executive Aidan Heavey said: "Allied to encouraging progress on
development planning, facilities tendering and gas commercialisation this latest
result means that plans to sanction the development of the Jubilee field later
in 2008 remain firmly on schedule."
The tests at Mahogany-2 confirm that Jubilee wells should be capable of
flowing at rates over 20,000 barrels of oil per day, when completed with a
5-and-a-half inch tubing.
