NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - Transocean Inc. said Tuesday its deepwater
drillship Deepwater Pathfinder won a five-year contract from a unit of Eni.
The contract will begin in March 2010 and could generate revenue of up to
$1.19 billion based on the maximum amount of revenue that could be earned in the
period when cost escalations are excluded, the company said.
Shares of Transocean closed Monday at $140.60. The stock is up 29% over the
past 52 weeks.
