Trading Update and Notice of Results
Baltic Oil Terminals will announce results for the year ended 31 December 2008
on 29 May 2009.
Baltic Oil Terminals confirms that the financial performance for the year ended
31 December 2008 was broadly in line with expectations.
In the last quarter of 2008 and first quarter of 2009, trading conditions were
challenging, consistent with the global economic backdrop and specifically with
the operating environment in Russia and the consequent impact on all terminals
and other industries reliant on the export of natural resources and petroleum
products. However, the Company is now seeing a considerable improvement in
market conditions and is confident of being able to take full advantage of this
upturn.
Most recently, Baltic Oil Terminals is pleased to report that it has entered
into a long term agreement with a major supplier for the export of low sulphur
straight run fuel oil from Kazakhstan. This will be transported by rail in lots
of 25,000 tons per month and the first trains are currently on their way to the
Rosbunker terminal at Baltysk.
A full update of all of the Company's operations will be provided on 29 May
2009.
