In conformity with Regulation 20 of the Transparency (Directive 2004/109/EC) Regulations
2007, United Drug plc announces that as at 31
July 2008:
The total number of Ordinary Shares of EUR0.05 each in issue as at the date of this notice
is 231,627,195. Each Ordinary Share carries
one vote. United Drug also holds 7,528,066 Ordinary Shares in treasury, which do not carry
voting rights. Therefore, the total number of
voting rights in United Drug is 231,627,195.
The above figure may be used by shareholders as a denominator for the calculations by
which they will determine if they are required to
notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, United Drug under the Transparency
(Directive 2004/109/EC) Regulations 2007.
