In conformity with Section 5.6.1 of the Disclosure and Transparency Rules the
Company confirms that as at 30 April 2008 its capital consists of 144,342,859
ordinary shares with voting rights and holds no ordinary shares in Treasury.
Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Venture Production plc is
144,342,859.
The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the
calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their
interest in, or a change to their interest in, Venture Production plc under the
FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
