SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. late
Tuesday said a district court has ruled in favor of AstraZeneca plc in a patent
dispute over a generic version of AstraZeneca's bipolar disorder treatment
Seroquel.
Jerusalem-based Teva develops generic versions of branded pharmaceuticals.
Teva said it plans to appeal the ruling, which granted summary judgment to
London-based AstraZeneca on the issue of no inequitable conduct related to an
AstraZeneca patent.
U.S.-listed Teva shares closed the regular session up $1.19 at $46.99.
U.S.-listed stock of AstraZeneca was trading up 89 cents at $43.42 at the
closing bell.
