LAKE BLUFF, Ill., Dec. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Terlato Wines today announced a new partnership to import Epsilon, a new Italian sparkling rose wine from the Veneto region. The long-term agreement with the Cecchetto family deepens the Terlato Italian portfolio with a popular varietal (sparkling rose) and a modern brand with substantial growth potential.

Terlato Adds Epsilon Wines to Luxury Wine Portfolio

Epsilon is produced by the Cecchetto family, owners of the acclaimed Ca di Rajo winery, situated near the Piave River in the fertile countryside of Treviso, Italy.  The Cecchetto family has worked for decades, transforming the land on which Ca di Rajo is located, into world-class vineyards producing exceptional wines.  Simone Cecchetto, a third-generation family member, created Epsilon as a way to offer Millennials a fun, high-quality sparkling wine with impressive heritage (the Ca di Rajo vineyards and winery are home to Roman ruins dating back to 1506).

"We're excited about launching Epsilon in the U.S.," said Terlato Wines Chief Executive William A. Terlato. "Rose is hot, sparkling wine is hot and sparkling rose is enjoying huge popularity right now, especially among Millennials. We see Epsilon as the go-to choice for sparkling at the pool, the beach, the club, or at home.  Simone has done a great job of creating a modern brand with historic roots."

"We are extremely pleased to be working with the Terlato family," said Simone Cecchetto. "Terlato Wines is known throughout the world as the leading luxury importer in the U.S., and we know our partnership will help Epsilon have great success in the U.S.  Terlato also has a great command of the Millennial market, making them the perfect fit for us."

Epsilon comes in a striking metallic bottle conceived by a Milan-based design team.  The wine is produced from Raboso, Pinot Noir and Glera grapes, and offers a refined balance of acid and sugar, with subtle notes of strawberry and green apples.  It will launch in key markets throughout the U.S. in early 2015.  The suggested retail price is $30.
