WESTPORT, Conn. (AP) - Heavy-equipment company Terex Corp. said Monday that
it acquired Hydra Platforms Mfg. Inc., which makes equipment for working on and
inspecting the undersides of bridges.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The Rock Hill, S.C.-based company's equipment is used for bridge
construction, maintenance and inspection, Terex said.
Hydra Platforms will become part of the Terex's road-building segment and
work with its Bid-Well subsidiary, which makes, sells and services bridge paving
equipment, the company said.
Terex shares fell $1.75, or 2.4 percent, to $70 in midday trading.
